Hope E. Ashby, PhD(c), MA, MSW, CSW has been a therapist in New York City for the past 6 years. She received a Master of Arts in Human Sexuality and a Master of Clinical Social Work from New York University. Dr. Ashby is finishing her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University.

She has been a consultant to many non-profit and government agencies. As a consultant, Dr. Ashby has provided sexual harrassment and diversity training. She is currently a clinical consultant to the New York City Department of Probation, Family Court Division, providing counseling and assessment services to female juveniles.
Dr. Ashby is an educator, therapist and advocate of women's issues, especially to the women in communities of color. Her presentations at professional conferences have focused on the sexuality needs of women of color within a sociopolitical context. Dr. Ashby served as the Executive Director of the Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality from May 1998 - May 2000.
