Cappy Rothman, MD, FACS is a board-certified urologist, Dr. Cappy Rothman is a nationally recognized authority on andrology - the urological sub-specialty of male reproductive health.
He has been a pioneer in the application of microsurgical techniques in the treatment of male infertility. Dr. Rothman is the co-founder of the Center for Male Reproductive Medicine and is the co-director and co-founder of the IVF Center at Century City Hospital, CA. He is director of the California Cryobank, the world's largest sperm bank. Dr. Rothman is specialist in human sperm banking, sperm freezing, and storage.
Dr. Rothman is currently a Clinical Instructor of Urology at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is on staff at Century City Hospital, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has published a litany of scientific articles on male infertility. Dr. Rothman has appeared on many radio and television including The Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, and the Today Show to discuss male infertility, sperm banking and new techniques available to infertile couples.
His professional affiliations include membership in the American Medical Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the American College of Surgeons. He was part of the Infertility Prevention and Treatment Advisory Panel for the Congress of the United States, Office of Technology Assessment. He continues to lecture at national medical conferences.
