A. The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge/DASH FOR DAD national men's health series is hosting 14 races across the U.S. to raise awareness about prostate cancer, the importance of early detection and treatment, and the need for additional research funding in order to find a cure for the disease. The vast majority of these races will be held in September, which is known as "Prostate Cancer Awareness Month."

B. ZERO is hosting its eleventh annual "Summit to End Prostate Cancer" from Sept. 14 to 16 in Washington, DC. Prostate cancer advocates from across the country will meet to discuss advocacy, fundraising, and research topics related to the disease. Summit participants will also call upon their elected representatives on Capitol Hill to push for increased federal funding for prostate cancer research and for broader health care access so that uninsured and underinsured men can get prostate cancer testing to protect their health.

C. Every year, ZERO leads the national effort to have the President issue an annual proclamation declaring the month of September as "National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month."

D. Every September (and also throughout the year), ZERO offers free prostate cancer testing to men in cities and communities across the U.S. through our Drive Against Prostate Cancer mobile medical program, the largest program of its kind in the U.S. Free prostate cancer testing, through the Drive, is scheduled in these cities for September: Englewood, NJ; Tulsa, OK; Canton, OH; Costa Mesa, CA; Greenville, SC; and Memphis, TN.
