Answer

The answer is NO!. In fact, sexual activity is probably good for this patient, both psychological and physical health of the patient. Attempting sex and improving blood flow to the penis even may help return sexual function faster after a radial prostectomy, especially if nerve sparing. Many times urologists will prescribe Viagra on a daily or regular basis to patients like this to improve blood flow. The "use it or lose it" concept is really true. If there is inadequate blood supply continues in the penis, fibrosis and scarring will occur.
