i m 25 yrs old, married since 1.5yrs n due to a tight hymen i ws unable to have sex. i got a hymenotomy done 7 months back n the doc advised me to start trying to have sex after 4 wks. since i was little apprehensive , we didnt try much n when we did try, i had discomfort. i consulted the doctor again, n she examined me per vaginum, with 2 fingers n found everything ok. she said i ve discomfort just coz of my anxiety. she advised me to use glass vaginal dilator with ky jelly. i ve triewd even that method very less honestly, coz i feel very nervous.
i m not able to try having sex as yet, n just because of my anxiety n discomfort. i can insert no.30 n no.32 dilatores fully when i m standing. i m quite certain that i need to learn the technique to ve sex. plz advise me how i shud co-ordinate having sex after using vaginal dilator. plz give me all the possible infomation related to having sex after hymenotomy.
also plz let me know if i need to use some medicines to get appropriately excited for sex.
i want to concieve as soon as possible. plz help me.

Continue using the dilators even work up to daily use. Increase the size as it becomes more comfortable. Try also to move the dilator in and out several times. Also, try using it in different positions; you wrote you are using it standing, but also try lying in different positions. Also, has your husband worked with you and the dilators together. I would also seek a sex therapist; this person can work with you and youtr husband as needed. Finally, you can seek the help of a pelvic floor physical therapist to see if there maybe some muscle tension too and you can work with biofeedback.

thanks for the reply. acc to ur suggestion, i will try dilators in increasing sizes. but i really have a feeling that i m not getting excited enough for sex at most times. i ve a feeling i might be inn need of some medicines to increase sexual urge. i see a lot of ads in tv regarding these medicines. do u think its a good idea to take those?

Sometimes your sexual urge or desire will take over if your husband preforms foreplay on or around your clitoris. Using his fingers to caress your body all over.

how many times in a day shud vaginal dilator be used? is it safe enough or can it cause any problem to the vaginal muscle? does it cause any problems in conception or labor later?

once a day is what i suggest. i don't know of anyone injuring themselves nor of it disturbing in conception or labor.
As for medicines, i am sorry to say that I don't deal with them; it is not my field

An OB-GYN specialist referred me to a physical therapist who deals with pelvic muscles. She advised me to use dildo for no more than 5 minutes a day. My muscles tensed up when I used it for longer than that. Try to relax your muscles or push slightly out. Do not squeeze or be tense like kegels.
