You might have to go to several doctors before finding one that is willing or able to treat you effectively. Most just really are not skilled in the
diagnosis or treatment. I tried two gyno's but finally got some results working with my primary care docter who worked with a really good compounding pharmacist. The dosage and the delivery method or even the base/cream/gel that it is compounded in may make a difference in how your body absorbs the
testosterone as well.
I have noticed a slight increase in acne and a small increase in the size of my
clitoris. Since using the testosterone I have noticed an improvment in my libido as well as my orgasmic reponse but I can't really say that the improvement in my response has any correlation with the size of my clitoris. It seems like that may help but for me I still need direct - either manually, orally, or vibrator - to
orgasm so don't know if just having a large clitoris would help.
Before you start treatment I would suggest your doctor test your Total and Free Testosterone. Don't necessarily let them tell you that you are 'normal' just because your levels are in the lab range of normal as many specialist suggest the levels should be higher for healthy sexual functioning. Knowing your numbers before treatment also helps you compare after you have been using the testosterone to see if you body is absorbing. In my case, the Total is increasing but not the Free so we are still tweeking and looking at other factors such as diet and other
hormones that may be affecting sexual response.
Just curious - how do you know your clitoris is very small? I know mine has enlarged a bit but never really thought to ask if it was small to begin with.......Anybody??
