TOPIC: Burning feet
#7145
Burning feet 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Has anyone else ever had the sensation of burning on the bottoms of your feet? I'm not talking about tired feet from being on them all day. I'm talking about a hot sensation from the ball of the foot to the heel when you are laying down in bed. But only on the bottom of the feet and not on the toes.
Surely I am not the only one in the world to have experienced this.
Anyone else? Anyone know what causes this?

Possibly diabetic neuropathy. Could also be caused by chronic alcoholism. There are many other possible causes, but these are the first two that come to mind.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have maybe 3 drinks in a whole year so that rules out the alcoholism. As for diabetic, wouldn't that show up on a CBC? I've had blood work in the past and think my blood sugar is okay.
I did some internet searching and saw the causes you listed, and several others. None seem to apply, except maybe pinched nerves. I do have a curved spine that could be causing nerve trouble, I guess.
The strange thing is, I think it is somehow hormone related. That's why I posted here. The first time in my life that I ever experienced it, I was exposed to second-hand smoke constantly at home and at work. When I moved and changed jobs, the burning went away. That was over 15 years ago.
A few months ago, I tried the Orgasmic diet and it worked for a few weeks then stopped working. After it stopped working, I began changing the fish oil dosage to try to get it to work again. That's when I noticed the burning in the feet had returned.
Sounds crazy, I know. I was just hoping maybe someone else had experienced this and could share some answers to the cause. It's not painful or even annoying, just something that I notice. I can definately live with it. I was just hoping it might be a clue on what to do to regain sexual health.

Hi, I had to become a member just to answer your post, because I get burning feet during clitoral stimulation! This is purely a nerve reaction of some sort for me. It doesn't seem like you get it during stimulation, but for me it only happens during stimulation . It's like the soles of my feet get very hot. My husband thinks I am nuts and I have no idea if this happens to other women.

Anyway I think it is definitely a nerve issue (for me). It has never gotten hot enough to be unpleasant for me, more like a very hot blush sensation. I'd be interested if anybody else gets this, esp during sex!

Hi,
My feet burn underneath when my clitoris is stimulated, also. It is very uncomfortable, almost painful. What is this?

The bottom of the feet do share some of the same dermatomes (spinal nerve providing sensation to area of skin) that also cover the genital area.

Hi: Im new here... but was reading the burning feet topic during stimulation... I have that same problem with my right side, when using vibrator my body kinda jumps and my right arm hurts and my right foot gets to burning... anyway at the same time it still feels good so dont wanna stop the stimulating... but afterwards for about a wk i have pain in my shoulder and pain in my hip and hurt on that side... so I think deff it does something to a nerve....

i am also new to this site...i joined just because of this topic...when I started to read it,I thought my god I'm not nuts and I'm not alone. I started to get the hot feet about a year ago and it always seems to happen during sex. i have no idea why nor have i talked to my doctor about this subject. I did read that it could be diabetic related ( I am type 2 but its controlled).
