Zestra vs. Finally & other sexual health products 2 Years, 6 Months ago

Having lost a huge amount cliteral sensation in what seems like over night. I have become very interested in topical creams & oil products, availabe over the counter, that claim to improve sensation.
I first started with a dap of minty toothpaste on my clit, after a friend had mentioned reading about it in some erotica article. Well it worked by golly, worked very well in deed. But I was concerned about the other ingredients in toothpaste & any damaging effects they could have on my genitals .
Then I tried a tennie tiny bit of my full strength peppermint oil. Whoa nelly it worked! Very well too. But full strength peppermint oil is very strong. And altho I didn't hurt myself with it. I wonder if it could burn others with more delicate skin than mine.
Then I found Zestra. Loved the warming effect. Hated the packaging packets. The skimmpy amount of the actual liquid gold that each of these packets contained. And the scent while not horrible, I can't really say I like it". But over all it is my favorite for sensation qualitiy.
I next tried a product called Finally. Altho much cheaper than Zestra. It had a wonderful easy to use tube & offered a nice tanigble amount of product & no fragrance to speak of. For me I felt nothing, no warming, no tingleing, no nothing!
And so my lovelys I am wondering of your experiences with such products and of others you may have found & enjoy...

I have tried many. The only one that improved sensation for me was Zestra but I agree that the smell, taste are disadvantages - my husband does like to do oral sex if I use it. The packets also inconvenient, wasteful, and messy.

Try Vibrel. Smells much better, easy to apply, and no left over mess. I got it on CVS.com.

Zestra seems to have the most powerful and effective and pleasant effect as an aid for female arousal and orgasm.
My patients and I are big Zestra fans. I've gotten to try almost all of these potions, because as a sexual professional, I get samples at our conferences. Zestra wins hands down (no pun intended...) if you ask me. I think that whatever Zestra's proprietary formula is, some of the powerful and necessary ingredients are what gives it that wierd smell and taste. You've got to do the cost/benefit ratio-- and the benefits of their special formula way outweigh the cost.
I have yet to find one that smells and tastes better that is anywhere near as effective. Other formulas seem to cause a kind of tingling (sometimes nice, but sometimes irritating )but they don't actually mimic or cause true feelings of juicy arousal. I don't personally equate a toothpast-y burn with feelings of arousal...They remind me of Vick's Vapo-rub. Not a sexy association...
Zestra is a bargain when compared to the cost of having sex that is much, much better for your partner than it is for you,or sex that makes you do your grocery list in your head, or sex that makes you resentful towards your partner,or sex that makes you want to avoid sex.
It works quickly. You don't have to plan ahead to use it. So you can just carry one of those sweet little packets with you, and you can have fun wherever you go.
PS. I get no money from the Zestra company. I have no association with them. I just think Zestra is one of the best products around for enhancing women's sexual pleasure.
I'm pretty sure Vibrel is simply a lubricant. Correct me if I'm wrong. That's one I haven't tried, but it is only advertising itself as making intercourse more comfortable, not as increasing arousal.

i have to disagree. i bought zestra with high hopes and it was messy alright, smelled and tasted not horrible but not exactly pleasant. and when i rubbed it on i didn't feel much of anything. maybe a little warmth. but it did nothing for my sexual pleasure. so to me it was a waste of money. but we are all different so if something works for you then by all means go for it. who cares what anyone else thinks. oh i should mention that my partner and i tried maxoderm and it was not too on me, but he was almost crying from the burning pain. sigh.

I didn't care for zestra either - not the smell nor the effectiveness.

if zestra is the best product around for doing this then i would rather go without, we tried it, i hated the smell, it did nothing what so ever, i might as well have rubbed smely bad baby oil onto myself, what a waste of time and hopes and money.

Same here. Zestra gave me zero results. Maybe some of us are more dead down there than others. The only thing that gave me the good tingly feeling was a super high powered vibrator. I had to quit using it though due to the fact that I became desensitized to it over time. As a younger woman I had absolutely no idea that one lost sensitivity with age and menopause. I certainly would have appreciated and enjoyed things more had I known it didn't last!

Zestra, vibrators, etc.
I'm interested in the huge variations here in response to clitoral stimulation gel. I wonder if there is some way we could do some kind of survey and actually compare results:
a Consumer's Report, so to speak...
What have people's experiences been with
vibrators, as well. I think that exclusive use of very high intensity vibrators can, in some people, make it hard to get aroused by human touch.
The Eroscillator vibrator is much more gentle--what have people's experiences been with it?

I am sure you will find a huge range with vibrators as well. I have tried many. If one doesn't work I encourage everyone to try another. For me:
Hitachi wand works but too powerful and feels forced not pleasurable.
Rabbit works but almost too 'much' for me. I am more interested in one that I can use with my partner not instead of.....
Pocket Rocket types and more novelty type vibrators like lipstick shape are not enough power for me and they don't offer different stimulation - they are more just like a buzz.
I had high hopes for Eroscillator. It is powerful but a gentle touch as well. I can climax with it but it is difficult as I prefer more of a pulsalting then a vibrating. None of the attachments did much for me either. But I am only clitorally orgasmic not vaginally orgasmic so iserting the different attachments did not really feel pleasurable.
I tried several of the ones from the Berman's and all of them were too weak. My favorite vibrator is more of a medium egg-shaped with attached handheld with several pulsating or vibrating combinations. I bought it years ago from Penthouse that I can no longer find. I found a new knockoff version last year that is ok but my original from Penthouse worked the best for me. The 'egg' had an indention that fit nicely over your clitoris or mound. The new one has different sizes of eggs. It had different speeds but they mostly 'buzz vibrate'. Thought the smallest size could be more easily incorporated into differnt positions but the small size actually is really tough to hold on to!
Since being on Zaneblues diet, though, I rarely use a vibrator. I do think using them too much causes insensitivity so I retrained myself to climax without a vibrator. It takes longer but actually feels more pleasurable. I still can't climax during pentration though so sometimes my husband and I use the vibrator for added stimulation. To avoid getting desensitized again I would rather have a manual or oral orgasm during foreplay then 'force' one during intercourse but lose my overall senstivity. Don't want to win the battle but lose the war again if that makes any sense.

Vibrel needs to work a bit on their marketing. It really does boost arousal. You apply some and in a few minutes you're very aroused!! And what I liked about it was it was done with vitamins (Niacin vitamin B-3) as explained on their box.

Vibrel marketing is confusing. Can't really tell if it is supposed to be a lubricant or an arousal gel. I used it and did not find it effective as either. If it worked it would be worth the price but it was not effective doing either. I think Astroglide works the best as a lubricant.

In Vibrel's ad it states,"Vibrel uses a vitamin based formula that provides the feeling of replenishing, replacing, and restoring your natural vaginal moisture "
