Laparoscopy 7 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
I went to my gyno. and i was having pain during intercourse and i just had my child 10 weeks ago. So I got told that my cervix is 2 inches in from my vagina hole, which it's supposed to be 7-8 inches in. So now i might have to use a diaphragm for 4 months or have laparoscopy. If the diaphragm doesn't work i'll have to have the laparoscopy anyway. If both things don't work i'll have to have a major surgery to lift it. So i was wondering if anyone had a laparoscopy before, so they could help me make my decision on what to do. Thanks for the help.

I have had a couple of laporoscopy (sp) in the past decades. They are not bad at all, to me. Most MD's push most of the gas out that they put in so they can visualize everything they need to see. Your MD has to decide what is best for you, but if it comes to the scope, its an easy procedure. For me its the anesthesia that is hard, I find it depresses me, but that passes. So good luck in your MD's plan of action. Let us know.
P rose

Leah,
I had laproscopy last year for an appendectomy. The experience was not unpleasant. My scars are teeny tiny and have faded incredibly. I was in small amounts of pain for about a week afterward (I was taking Darvoset), but the pain was much less than the pain before the surgery (more like an ache).
Good luck with your decision.
Bess

Hey sweety I have had 4 laporoscopy's in less than 5 years and have found that during the first day if you will rest alot but then the more you keep up and move around (DONT OVER DO IT LISTEN TO YOUR BODY) the easier it is. Good Luck and I hope everything goes well and I'll put you in my prayers
