" Zaneblue's Book"
Marrena Lindberg, known here on our Boards as "Zaneblue." is an environmental researcher who came upon the magical combination she writes about in her book, The Orgasmic Diet, through her own trial and error. She has spent the past four years perfecting the Orgasmic Diet, sharing it with women all over the world, and working with doctors in the field of female sexuality in order to understand sexual dysfunction and to develop clinical trials on the Orgasmic Diet program. Marrena tells readers how to avoid orgasm killers hidden in your diet and learn how to achieve mind-blowing orgasms each and every time. We at our Vibrance web sites have long known Zaneblue as one of the most popular posters. Marrena credits our boards as being a big help in her book. An excerpt from her book, special for our readers, is at www.bermansexualhealth.com and www.hisandherhealth.com --The Moderator

---------------------------------------

My other diet thread was getting pretty cumbersome, so for carebearhoneybee here is the full hardcore with brand names version of my diet for men and women.

Men and women should both take every day:

Fish oil. Eight pills of the OmegaRx brand from Zone Labs, double the dosage on the label. Two pills of Carlson's Super DHA. Don't take fish oil like this if you are on a blood-thinning medication like Coumadin or aspirin therapy, take lots of over-the-counter pain relievers, are scheduled for surgery, are allergic to seafood or have a defibrillator. It would be a good idea to check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions before doing this. Start slowly, one pill a day, adding one pill per week. Take with food. This amount of fish oil is for a person close to 200 pounds. Halve it if you are closer to 100 pounds. Also, a person should check with their doctor before taking more than 1600 mg of EPA and 1300 mg of DHA per day

Women should take the RDA of calcium/magnesium/zinc (1000 mg/400 mg/15 mg). Men should take a product called ZMA, according to the directions.

A good multivitamin like Centrum

A glass of orange juice or or some other Vitamin C source.

Women who are able to menstruate should take a little extra iron, around 10 to 15 mg per day.

A half ounce of good dark chocolate like Lindt 70% Dark or Dove Dark Promises.

Of all that, the fish oil and magnesium/zinc are the most important, but the other stuff helps. The next most important thing is exercising the PC muscles.

Women should get the Gyneflex device and work their way up to being able to comfortably flex level #4. This is a baseline--results improve the more muscle strength you acquire--the Gyneflex goes up to level #6. Women should work out with it twenty minutes twice a week. Just rhythmically flex it in a way that feels comfortable--you don't have to squeeze and hold.

Men should get the Aneros and use as directed. In addition they should strengthen their PC muscles by draping a towel over their erection and doing "lifts." Increase the weight as the muscle tone increases.

Now for the "diet" part of the diet. The most important thing is to eat enough of the right sorts of fat. Transfats (partially hydrogenated oils) and polyunsaturated fats (corn oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, etc.) will actively interfere with the fish oil. Fats should be saturated fats like from meat and dairy and monounsaturated fats, like from olive oil and nuts. Canola oil is fine too.

Try to eat protein at every meal, as long as it's not soy. Soy, tofu, will not work with this diet. Try to eat good carbs like fruits and vegetables, and cut down on grains, breads, pasta, potatotes, sugar, junk food, etc. Diets like the Atkins Diet, the Zone Diet and the South Beach Diet work very well with this, although you do not have to restrict food intake for this to work, just eat the right sorts of foods.

The more caffeine or nicotine ingested, the less the diet will work, especially with women. Men are hardier. Antidepressants also interfere with the diet (with the exception of Wellbutrin), however, many people going on the diet find they are able to stop taking antidepressants under the supervision of their doctors. Fish oil has been proven in rigorous studies to help with many of the same illnesses currently treated with antidepressants. Birth control pills will interfere with the beneficial hormonal effects of the diet, but some women have had success becoming vaginally orgasmic on the diet while also on hormonal birth control. And other women have needed additional testosterone replacement therapy along with the diet for best results. The diet works well with TRT because it helps to keep SHBG low. It depends on your own body's particular hormone-producing abilities.

Many people focus on the difficult food part of the diet, when the supplements and exercises are much more important.

Whew, that's awfully long and wordy. I don't know how to say it shorter. I suppose just the fish oil, calcium/magnesium/zinc and the Gyneflex, but the other stuff does help quite a bit too.

I know it's a lot of work, but I think the ability to have easy vaginal orgasms makes it worth it.

This is the first time I've seen you publicly recommend DOUBLE the dose of the Zone Labs fish oil. I've been taking 4 and have been happy with the results. Have you noticed that much of a difference with 8 capsules?

Well I'm shelling out the extra $40 a month, not to mention the extra for the Carlson's. I just thought I'd put down what I'm doing--the hardcore version. Dr. Sears actually recommends double the dose in his book, so I'm going by his advice (although the DHA was my idea). I wouldn't take more than where I'm at, but I have to say I'm pretty happy here.

I think I posted the whole thing because of detractors, really to say try this whole thing and then tell me it doesn't do anything. That's why I put brands and the full amounts.

You absolutely don't have to increase if you are happy where you are. It is very expensive.

I should say the most important thing. I'm 5'10" and hardly thin. The amounts I'm listing are for someone a good 200 lbs. Someone a 100 lbs should halve the amount of fish oil.

Out of curiosity, I added a few regular drugstore fish oil capsules to the 4 zone labs capsules and I think I do notice a difference. Interesting how quick it is.

Also, for women in perimenopause or menopause, I'd add a capsule of black cohosh once a day to your regimin. It seems to help me with lubrication.

Oh yes--that's what I've been saying all along, I am quite familiar with the effects of fish oil on brain health (and heart disease, diabetes, and a host of other "modern" illnesses). I've done my research, lol.

That's my point--I believe women's sexual functioning is strongly influenced by brain chemistry. Men's too, to a lesser degree. I have a number of animal studies showing the effects of omega-3 fatty acids on dopamine. Now there's research being done right now on dopamine drugs for FSD, but why not simply correct the nutritional imbalance? There's an epidemic of depression in this country, and I believe much of it is as easy to cure as scurvy. Unlike the rest of the world, Americans eat grain-fed beef and poultry, causing our traditional main source of omega-3 fatty acids to instead become high in the opposing omega-6 fatty acids instead.

If this is working for you and you are able to afford it and keep up with all of it, more power to you. But I am having 100% success on 1 mg of Requip a day, period. And my cost is 15.00 a month. There can be side effects either way, but the only two side effects I am having are good ones so I have three good reasons to take Requip. Sure is a lot easier and cheaper.

I looked up Requip and it seems to be a medication for restless leg syndrome or parkinsons. Are you taking it off-label? Do you have any information saying it's safe to do so?

And I'm curious to know what you mean by "success"? What problems were you trying to fix and what was the result of taking requip?

Requip is a dopamine drug. I'm sorry, but I think taking dopamine drugs long-term will cause dependency and also require having to take more and more of the drug to get the same effect, unlike fish oil, which is simply correcting a nutritional deficiency to raise dopamine. I'm a live and let live sort of person, but this is my own thread so I'm going to speak my mind here.

On the other hand, I suppose I should mention that bromocriptine is also used off-label in this way, another dopamine agonist.

If you look at fish oil, yes it is more expensive and more of a pain, but it also has a host of other health benefits--improving the cardiovascular system, helping protect against diabetes, the aforementioned benefits on brain health, etc. It's only $40 a month to get the minimum effect at 1600 mg EPA and 800 mg DHA and taking it alone will replicate the dopamine effects from a dopamine pharmaceutical.

I've looked a little further on Requip and there are some confusing and contradictory claims. One pharmaceutical website lists 'increase or decrease in sex drive' as a rare side effect. Another lists 'decreased ability or desire for sex' as a possible side effect. And then there was the recent story in the news about Parkinson's drugs (including Requip) being implicated in development of compulsive gambling and in some cases, hypersexuality. Here's a story on that: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2005/parkinson.html

The hypersexuality from dopamine drugs for Parkinson's has been known for a long time. Including inducing spontaneous orgasmic ability in some women. It's the dopamine.

If you want to see a case history of a dopamine drug used to treat FSD that blew up, check out Survector, amineptine. Caused spontaneous orgasms in women and started getting abused, and got banned, at least in the United States. Still available in Europe.
