I found this little bit while reading the book
Our Bodies, Ourselves: Menopause. I think everyone can benefit from these tips but they can be especially helpful on those days when you wake up and the 'sun is not shining' (so to speak)

Strategies for acceptance and celebration
1. Exercise with activities that you find pleasurable and that bring you joy.
2. Eat healthily, sensibly, and with pleasure and enthusiasm.
3. Evaluate unhealthy practices such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption and find ways to support healthy changes.
4. Seek out new ways of using and knowing your body through sports, dance, yoga, acting, sex, etc.
5. Practice loving the body you have lived in all these years.
6. Practice knowing your inner worth.
7. Support other women through compliments, listening, nurturing, and faithfulness.
8. Self-nurture through massage, hot baths, facials, walks, scented bath lotions, manicures, pedicures, sleep, flowers, candles, etc.
9. Reduce the number of hours you spend on TV programs, movies, and magazines whose images contribute to feelings of inadequacy. Reject the cultural images of "perfect" women and embrace the image in the mirror and in the faces of female friends.
10. Celebrate the life that is uniquely yours.
