well am about to be twenty and i lost my virginity about a year ago.within this time i have only had sex eight times.that is only because i don't enjoy it, i spend my time avoiding sex beause it hurts so bad.now i have a new boyfriend who is much hicker and longer than the first boyfriend and i am afraid to have sex. i know it is going to hurt me and it makes me nervous.

You need to see a healthcare provider that specializes in pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction to assess the problem. It could be a hormonal problem ( birth control maybe), a skin issue, a muscular issue, emotional stress, etc. Sex should be fun and emjoyable, with no fear or pain attached. The earlier you address the issue the better.

It is hard to say without assessing the muscles. Commonly the muscles affected by vestibulodynia are the superficial transverse perineum, pubococcygeus, puborectalis b/c they are close to the vestibule; however, it could be any of the pelvic floor muscles b/c they are so close together. It would be best to see a healthcare provider. My book, Heal Pelvic Pain, has a good illustrations with explanations.
