if muscles have memory, wouldn't botoxing the muscles help them to remember to be less spastic?

Botox does help keep the muscles less tense. I think botox though should be used as the patient continues PT.

Ms. Herzig,
Have you run into cases where botox helped vestibule pain and if so, was that because the pudendal nerve was involved?

Do you know which muscles they had botoxed that lead to their decrease in pain?

Also, is pain with urination a symptom of pelvic muscle spasms or should I be exploring IC?

To answer your first questions re:muscles, you need a pelvic floor muscle evaluation. someone needs to note which muscles are tight. usually this includes the muscles around the urogenital triangle.
Pain w/urination can be due to PFD. I cannot tell you to rule or rule out IC, but can tell you many people whom have IC have PFD.

Thank you for your responses. Can you please tell me the names of the muscles that could possibly make your urine burn when urinating?
Can you just have PFD without IC and have urinary burning?
thank you
