TOPIC: Clitoral birth defect

Clitoral birth defect 6 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Just got started with "For Women Only". On examination, it appears to me as if I have no clitoris. I am 43. Mother of two. Have had orgasms in sleep in the last 15 years, vaginal, I believe. Never been successful at masturbation. Tried Viagra. No response. Is it possible that I have no clitoris. YIKES!

It is possible that you have a very small clitoris, though I've never heard of someone not having one at all. The clitoris, as For Women Only shows, runs up the anterior wall of the vagina, so even if you don't see it on the outside it's likely it's still there. It may also be an idea to look again when you're really aroused. The clitoris swells a bit, and it may be easier to see.
Not all women have clitoral orgasms. I don't, either. I, too, only have vaginal orgasms. While I have a "normal" size clitoris, it's never had much sensation. So, don't worry too much about the size of your clitoris. So long as you are comfortable with your body and enjoy sex, and especially since you can have orgasms, that's all that really matters in the scheme of things.

Dr. Laura Berman is doing a radio show on Orgasms, and that would be a great question to include...would you be interested in asking it directly to her? I'm sure this has been a problem for other women and they don't know what to do about it. You could be helping yourself and others at the same time. Call me if you are interested, my name is Rachael and I produce the Dr. Berman radio show. 800-709-4709 X2403.

** Moderator: Testing123 is really Rachael, the Producer of the new Dr. Laura Berman radio show.
