His and Her Health

I was wondering if ANY one has one also (bicornuate uterus), I found out when i was a freshmen in high school, I had a son and had problems carring him went in pre. labor at 5 months but ended up carring him to 8 months, well i am 27 now and my period is REAL bad and heavy and VERY painful, also MOOD SWINGS BAD, my sex drive is up and down but sex can be very painful. I am looking for help, answers, anything

I also have a biconate uterus and pain during sex. My mood swings were terrible, and sometimes can act up. There is a procedure where they can removed the septal wall. It is done laproscopically.

I also have a bicornate uterus. I thought that it was just me, i also have bad mood swings occasionally. I am also 27.
I'm off tommorrow to have the "laparoscopic excision of redundant uterine horn" procedure. Providing all goes well my problems will be fixed by this.
My suggestion standford is go and see a female specialist (gynaecologist) (as i had problems with a male one)and they will probably be able to sort this stuff out for you.

I am 41, was diagnosed with a bi-cornuate uterus at age 18 while pregnant with my twins...went into pre term labor, and delivered at 28 weeks. Later pregancies ended in miscarriage and one delivery at 30 weeks. All kids are doing great now. As for pain etc, yes I hurt real bad during sex, my period was extremely heavy, and in 1998 ended up having a hysterectomy , at age 34. I have never felt better physically, but emotionally I would only recommend this as a last resort,
