TOPIC: Vasectomy Pro's/Con's
#25212
Vasectomy Pro's/Con's 6 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
My man & I have been wondering if there are any negative effects after having a vasectomy i.e. 1) amount of semen, 2) consistency, and 3) taste of the semen. I enjoy what I have now and don't want to experience negative effects. Any help here?
Thanks
------------------
My man had a vasectomy a few years back. As far as semen goes you won't know the difference. Since sperm is microscopic it really doesn't make up hardly any volume in the ejaculate. So it will stay the same amount, consistency and unfortunately the same taste (ha ha).
The only thing that will change for you is dealing with a bit of pain after the procedure. The day of the procedure he was in a bit of pain and was required to keep an ice bag down there for the day. After a few days he could resume sex which we did but he had to take it a bit easy because of the soreness. After about 6 weeks or so he was pretty much back to his old self and thrusting in me pretty hard so I guess the pain was almost gone. I did notice it took about a year before I could massage his testicles without him noticing pain. After that - there are no side effects.
Just make sure you and your hubby are ready for the permanent fix. Vasectomey's are permanent!

I had a Vesectomy a month ago and the only thing I have experiance as our host said is minor pain and tenderness. The area may apear discolored but that goes away with time.
Also I was told by the VA doctors that it was unlikely but possible for the (Tube's?) to grow back together, Thus negating the surgury. Is this a perenant concern or just until everything heals and the stiches desolve??
