TOPIC: Husband's Erection
#31322
Husband's Erection 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
My husband is 53 years old and I now notice that when erect his penis turns about 60 degrees to the left. He has no problem with penetration but I am worried that it may be a sign of something else, I also notice that he now ejaculates far less sperm.
Niether of these things he wants to talk about.
I will have great difficulty convincing him to be examined, especially if he is required to "demonstrate" the condition.
Any help most appreciated.

JudithS, your husband may have a condition called Peyronie's disease. Here is a link to an article with information about that.

I think about 1% of the populaton of men over age 40 gets Peyronnies (very under reported), some Docs say take alot of Vitamin E at first, not much can correct this, but as long as you can still have intercourse, and he is not in any pain, then all is good, and nothing needs done about it. It is only debilitating when the bend is so severe than intercourse is no longer acheivable. In rare severe cases (most are not) a penile implant is recommended.

JudithS,try to convince your husband to be examined by a urologist who can diagnose and treat. There is something that can be done for Peyronies disease.
