That's no bug, the reason the page numbers changed is because we changed the number of replies that it shows per page, this in turn changed the total number of pages for the thread.

Hey Admin I am not getting emails saying when people post now. I used to always get an email every time someone posted a reply now the last 3 people who replied I got nothing. Is there something I have to do to get a notification?

You mean you haven't received an email since we created a New Thread and locked the old one?

This is most likely because you had not made a comment in the new thread yet, now that you've commented, you should receive an email each time a new comment is made on this new thread. That is an excellent example of why we adjusted this thread though, for example, our system was sending out 2,000+ emails each time someone made a single comment on the previous thread.

We have created this new thread to allow the previous discussion to continue without tasking our system resources.

No I made a comment and still after I made the comment I am not receiving an email notification of other peoples comments after me. Is anyone else receiving notification via email? Checked my spam folder and its not going there either. Before I got all the emails now since today I havent received one.

I just received an email notification again when you posted this time, as well as last time.

But I do agree with the line of thought some people have been talking about...regarding it being a learned problem. Since it took so long to reach orgasm while on SSRI's, I can remember how I tried to climax faster at the time, since it wasn't worth waiting for. I just wanted to get it over with and move on. Memory isn't the greatest unfortunately, but I think it's a logical reason anyway.

Trying to climax to get it over with - that sounds familiar. Just to release the drive and be able to go to sleep.

This has been a lifetime issue for me as well. I've only had 2 orgasm in my life, so I don't think my case was caused by masturbation techniques, but I think it is likely that technique has exacerbated the problem.

I think the buildup to orgasm normally builds up ejaculatory release as well, but the build up to ejaculation takes other inputs as well. For me, ejaculation can be hastened with greater pressure and increased muscular tension. That's probably exactly the wrong thing to do.

Every time you ejaculate without having an orgasm, your body has now learned to associate ejaculation with that lower level of orgasm buildup, the lack of orgasm, and the accompanying let down. I doubt that is likely to help with the build up for the next orgasm.

Instead, as some have suggested, I'm going to relax and reduce pressure. Limit any additional inputs to ejaculatory release, and rely only on the orgasmic buildup. I hope in this way to learn to increase the buildup, until maybe it is enough for an orgasm. Likely I won't be ejaculating for a while.

For a little data from a pro, a sex therapist in town recommended stopping masturbation altogether.

Can I ask for some clarification on the muscle technique. I tried searching the forum but had a hard time navigating through it. The technique in question is the Kegel technique? How often do you perform the exercise per day and for how long? And during sex do you do anything differently? How long do you do the exercises before you see a benefit? Thanks.

I don't know what's right for you, but where I'm coming from, Kegels are exactly the wrong thing for me (though my Dr recommended them)! If the problem is with the pelvic floor being too tense, Kegels may only increase this. I'm suggesting doing the opposite - which is to push down and relax the muscles gently, as if urinating, to stop them tensing up. A few people have seen improvements from doing this, even if not amazing ones.

I think it may be possible to do Kegels to help learn to relax the problem, but I wouldn't know how without seeing a trained pelvic floor physio. I think done right, there might be a way to do the exercises to help you learn to relax the muscles too, but the standard Kegels that you find info on on the internet are done to increase muscle tone eg for incontinence and that could exacerbate the problem. That's IF yours is caused by the same thing mine appears to be.

hi everyone im new to this site. but my problems are kinda the same. for the last year my orgasms have gone poof. i ejacuate but with little or no orgasm. my urine creates a frothy foam when it hits the water to thats only been happenin the last few months. i got urine test done but doc said it was fine. what i do find is when i masterbate standing up in the shower i do seem to have a fairly good orgasm. but sex i dont. im 25 and god this would depress you. im going to make an apointment with my doctor next week see hw that goes. about a month ago my orgasms came back to nearly 100% but now there gone again so there has to be a cure out there somewhere.

just discovered this site...I am a 59y/o very healthy psychologist who has experienced EA now for more than a year...I always my whole life, probably starting at age 11 reached orgasm;enjoyed,pursued and prided myself on having multiple O's each day either thru intercourse with women or masturbation. I am married for 21 years, happily and have two biological teenage boys. In fact, for more than 35 yrs probably averaged 2-3 orgasms per day! So, over time the intensity and quality of orgasm diminished to the current state of no feeling..I can get aroused, erect all leading to the usual state of pleasure but nothing happens;lately I am aware that it almost feels like I am physically blocked and the full release does not occur. So far I have been to one urologist, exam was normal, blood work(CBC,Lipids etc, NO diabetes) all WNL. I am not overweight do not smoke,drink, take SSRI's or street drugs. I am extremely athletic, fit and meditate every day. My testosterone levels were NOT low and considering I am 59 and clearly not immediately horny or erect as I might have been some years ago. Arousal is not a problem.
I went on testosterone replacement(gel) for six weeks with no improvement.
Next Wednesday I see another MD who claims to treat EA. Thanks for listening Jerry

Jaderr how is the Testosterone goign for you? I will be getting mine within the next 2 days. I guess it only works on some people seeing how Gerald took the gel and it did nothing. It also weird how the b vitamins and such worked for sickandtired. Different things work for different people.
