So the thinking is that as our bodies begin to get to where pleasure should be felt, the ejaculatory reflex happens. And just because this is more than a couple minutes of sexual activity, it's an early ejaculation in that it shouldn't really have happened yet. The body never builds up to anything good.
As someone on the delayed ejaculation side, I can tell you it's not that my ejaculatory reflex is on too much of a hair trigger, even if it does take a long time. I just don't get enough of a build up to ejaculate or orgasm, and have to gin up a bunch of body tension to trigger the ejaculation. I basically force myself into a premature ejaculation, if only to get it over with. If I don't gin up the body tension, I'll never ejaculate at all.
I'm sure that's an unhelpful habit. But I haven't been able to get anything to work anyway, and it at least provides some relief from an unsatisfied libido. I've tried not masturbating at all. Masturbating but no to ejaculation. Neither has made a difference.
For you fellas with actual premature ejaculation, I think there is better hope for you. You're probably capable of a buildup to orgasm, if only you can prevent the premature ejaculation before you've built up enough. That is largely a solved problem, between alcohol, creams, and dapoxetine.
