I'm very new to this forum, and it was a big surprise to discover that so many people share this misfortune. I've had a number of specialists dismiss the issue as something I made up.

Anyway, I realise the posts here go back a very, very long way. I do plan to trawl through all of this at some point, starting from the beginning, but it's slow work. Is there a sticky somewhere with any important / breakthrough information? I would assume not, but I read a set of posts a few weeks back which helped a handful of people, regarding relaxing the kegel muscle during sex / whilst masturbating. For some (myself included), this was counter intuitive since i have found it necessary to exert my kegels in order to maintain an erection.

Sorry, got a bit side-tracked. Is there a concise collection of tips / hints to be found anywhere? If not, is there demand for this kind of thing (I may get involved)?

I just registered here to ask you something. I've been having a similar problem recently and I want to see what it really is.

I've lost a part of my orgasmic pleasure a few days ago. I normally ejaculate, everything happens right, but I can't feel pleasure. Not most of it, though. The thing is, it didn't fade away slowly, day by day or something. No, it dissapeared overnight. Literally.
Now, I can feel only the initial pleasure when the orgasm starts, but when the peak of the feeling should happen... it just doesn't show up. And I swear, I could draw a damn line between that feeling that I can feel now, and the part that is missing.

It already happened to me some years ago when I lost the final part of the orgasm in the exact same way (and it never came back), but I didn't freak out because I could still feel the most intensive part in the middle of the process, but now that it's gone and I'm down to approximately 1/3 of the pleasure, I'm afraid that I will lose the pleasure completely.

Does this also count as Anhedonia, does anyone here have the exact same problem, what can be the cause to this, and can it be cured? The first thing that came to my mind was that I probably damaged some nerves in there, and since nerves can't repair themselves, that would explain why the missing parts of the sensation never returned.

Please answer, I'm very concerned about all of this.

I joined here recently, but I've had the same problem as you for a long time (since I was a teenager, perhaps 7 years or so). Unfortunately I have found nothing that offers much of a solution in this area, although a few things have appeared to work every now and then. One example was completely relaxing my kegel muscles during masturbation (which is counter-intuitive), but this only worked the first couple of times I tried it. It seems to me that most "solutions" behave in the same manner, which leads me to favour the conclusion that this might very well be all in my mind.

I have also visited a top urologist in the UK, and he seemed to think that it was entirely mental (I disagreed at the time, I was convinced there was something physically wrong with me), and prescribed "mindfulness" sessions with a practitioner. It never really went anywhere, and I no longer go.

I don't outright dismiss the possibility that this is nerve related. There are many ways in which nerve damage could have occurred in my situation - I have had numerous operations around the area, since having a testicular torsion at age 11. The only thing that was wrong with me was I had a blockage in my epididimus, which caused swelling and lots of pain, but it took a number of pointless operations and clueless doctors before anybody pointed out what was apparently glaringly obvious. I suspect it might have been possible that something went wrong during one of these operations, involving nerve damage. My spine, including the lower region, is in a generally bad way, and I suspect this could potentially be a contributing factor, since it's the passageway via which all of those (well the important ones anyway) nerves run.

The other potential cause (in my estimation) ... and this one is a little odd .. is the state of mind I have grown into as a result of various happenings in my past. Normally I would scratch this off as bullshit .. but having read a few posts on this forum which mention the same thing, I think it would be remiss to dismiss it entirely. The situation is this: I am completely apathetic. To everything; I do not care about anything. If i do not care about X, then X cannot bother me. This was a choice I made when I was younger - I was a very sensitive individual, and was absolutely infatuated with a particular girl when I was younger. My infatuation of course pushed her away, but never far enough that she'd leave my life entirely. I was on a shoestring with her for a long time, and it was making my life very miserable. In retrospect, I believe my life was miserable because I hated my stepfather so much, and that I latched onto this girl as some kind of "saviour" from my home life, but I don't really believe that this makes much of a difference. The point is that a moment came where it dawned on me that I shouldn't care - none of this matters. Why does it matter if one particular person likes me or not? And from that moment, I thought "f*ck it" in response to *every* single situation in my life. And I was the happiest bunny in the field. It changed my personally in a very strong way, and everybody noticed. Now i'm not really that way now, but I still find it impossible to care about anything - nothing bothers me. It means I don't care about people, and I don't "love". But I have noticed that the strongest sexual feelings (including orgasm) I have experienced have come at times of extreme emotional arousal (e.g. sex after a huge emotional fight has come to a resolution) but this is very rare. Again - I mention this because others have stated the same thing, and I wonder if there's a connection. Part of the point of this forum is to compare people's stories so we can try and find some common ground - at the moment many specialists don't even believe it's a real thing.

I apologise for the wall of text, but I hope some of this might potentially help you to figure out what's wrong in your case. If you have any similar experiences, please do share - I (and I believe most of the lurkers left on this forum) would be very interested to hear about them.

Finally, I am very sorry that nobody here can offer you any real answers. It's a shitty boat we sail, but it ought one day to get better.

If you can't have orgasm through masturbation/sex..... It would be interesting for you to obtain (where legal) some cocaine, mephedrone or amphetamine... Just out of experimental curiousity to see if your actual circuits are present still (same feeling at higher doses) just the once to test it.

If it "works" then you probably just are not making much natural serotonin or dopamine.
