It is possible that the swelling is your Bartholin's gland which releases secretions during sexual arousal to lubricate the opening (vestibule) of teh vagina. If the opening gets blocked, the gland can swell. It is also possibel that you may have a vestibulitis or a dermatologic condition of the vulva such as lichen planus.
