His and Her Health

I am 25 and have been having a sharp pain in my lower right side. Around the area where my ovary would be.It has been bothering me for about 3 months now.At first it was just hurting around the time when i would start my period. Now it is a constant pain.I have started having lower back pains as well.After i have sex with my husband it seems to get worse.I just had my period last week and i had a lot of clotting.I have an appointment to go see the ob/gyn next week, does anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Could be an ovarian cyst. I have one and it causes me pain on my right side as well.

I have the same thing, except mine comes and goes. My gyn told me I do not ovulate, so I don't know if it is a build up of estrogen or what. Midol seems to help though

Hmmm. It sounds like an ovarian cyst to me. I have one too. On my left side. When it hurts it really hruts, but it kinda comes and goes. The gyn isn't worried, cause my pap test was normal, but whenever it hurts, I get really worried!<BR>It is bothering me on alternating months - probably becuase it's hurting when the left side is ovulating.<BR>When it started it would hurt every time I orgasm - the muscle contraction did that.
