Any one use nuva ring?

Hi my name is julie im 19 i wanted to know if anyone uses nuva ring. I would like to change BC to something simpler i have trouble remembering the pills every day im currently on ortho try cyclen. I know it has a lower dose of hormones than pills do so sideaffects are lower. has anyone experianced a decrease in sexual desire while on it, Dryness, Headaches. Iv experienced some of these sidefects while on ortho try cyclen and i wondered if any one else had experienced these. ANy advice about it. I go to the Dr in a few weeks and i wanted to get the opinion of some women who are actually on it. thanks for the help
julie

Re: Any one use nuva ring?

I used it for about 6 months, but I have been suffering from depression for quite a while (before nuva ring), and I am trying to go hormone free to see if my sex drive is helped.
I have to say I never had a great sex drive, so I didn't notice any difference, but as for side effects such as spotting, which I had on Depo, there weren't any, and it helped my cramping just as much as regular pills.
It is a little difficult to take out, since it gets slippery and hard to get a grip on, and the instructions say that depending on your cycle the insertion may fall during your period, which you might not be comfortable with (I didn't have that particualr situation).
Also, one of the questions I had had for my GYN was whether it could be detected by your partner, and she said it couldn't and my first hand experience verifies it.
Hope this helps!
