LEEP questions

I had a few colposcopies and a LEEP procedure done in 2001. My PAPs now come back clear. Since then, I haven't been in a relationship or had sex until recently. Now I experience pain during penetration (especially right at the beginning) as well as rawness and soreness after. Could these procedures have caused damage, scar tissue, decreased lubrication etc. that would be causing these new problems?
