a yeast infection?...or not?

I'm not sure whats wrong but i think i might have a yeast infection, I'm pretty red and ichy down there, especially my clitoris. I don't have any wierd discharge or sidcomfort going to the bathroom...I really don't feel comfortable going to my doctor...should I just get an over the counter treatment? Do you think it could be an STD? HELP!

Hi "Ouch":<BR>These symptoms sound most like a yeast infection- but of course it's impossible to be sure without an examination. If you think there's any chance of having an STD, it's best to see a qualified medical professional right away.
