sudden bleeding

I waited a week on the intercourse after an endometrial biopsy, this morning I started bleeding for no reason. My SO and I had intercourse on Thursday and I am no where near starting my period and have never had break thru bleeding or spotting between ever. I am not on the pill, I had a tubal many years ago. And of course it is a Saturday and no way to get in touch with my GYN. Is this normal? I barely bled after the biopsy, now I am. I am worried and not sure what to do. Any ideas?
katya_35

Re: sudden bleeding

Hi Katya:
It's normal to have some irregular bleeding for up to four weeks after an uneventful endometrial biopsy. I tell my patients to contact me if the bleeding is heavy for several hours, painful, or associated with a fever (greater than 100 degrees).
------------------
Supportive Guy
