Re: men and women

The best time for a woman to get pregnant is when she is ovulating (about 14 days from the beginning of her next period) There is usually a window of about 3-5 days when she is most fertile. The best time to have sex is right before ovulation so that the sperm is already there when the egg is released. For example, if a women's cycle is 28 days (which is average), her approximate day of ovulation would be on day 14, so then sex a day or two ahead of that and then every other day for the next 4-5 days is the best way to try and conceive.

Re: men and women

A woman can get pregnant if she has sex about two weeks before the beginning her NEXT period. So if she has very short cycles or is irregular or has very long periods, it's possible. But probably not real likely.

Re: men and women

Once you stop taking the birth control pill, it may take a few months before your cycle goes back to its normal cycles.

Re: men and women

If a woman suspects she may be pregnant and has pain, it's important to check a pregnancy test: it could be an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. These can rupture and lead to very dangerous internal bleeding.
On the other hand, cramps and low back pain can be caused by ovulation- the release of an egg by the ovary. In this case, of course, the pregnancy test would be negative, and the pains would resolve in a few days.
See your doctor if you're not sure.
