is it true

I AM 22 YEARS OLD AND I WAS ALWAYS TOLD BY OTHERS THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN ORGASM TO GET PREGNANT. IS IT TRUE?? I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION. WHEN IS THE MOST LIKELY TIME YOU CAN GET PREGNANT?
THANKS

Re: is it true

This is very false. To become pregnant the woman must be close to her ovulation date in her cycle. Ovulation occurs (on average) one to two weeks post end of period and an egg will be in place for about three days. There are a few signs that come with ovulation like an increase in temp by a few degrees, your cervix will open a bit (about a finger width) and your mucus will become very egg white and slippery (and lots of it).

Re: is it true

you don't need to orgasm to have a child and get pregnant, and somewhere i heard that it was suppose to be forteen days after your period first starts. or at least thats how it worked for three of my friends.

Re: is it true

Hi-
A little clarification for you all.
It's correct that orgasm in women isn't necessary for pregnancy to occur- but it probably helps.
The time of ovulation is fourteen days before the period starts (check your menstrual calendar for a few months and you can figure out what day that is). The egg only lives for one to two days.
------------------
Supportive Guy

Re: is it true

Dr Bruce
I am not understanding your comment that an orgasm actually helps a woman become pregnant. During her fertile time an egg will be in place, her mucus will be egg white and "slippery" and her cervix will be open which all helps in allowing sperm make it to the egg. So what would an orgasm in a woman do to make the conditions better?

Re: is it true

I understand that the contractions of the uterus with orgasm help move the egg and sperm closer together.
------------------
Supportive Guy
