His and Her Health

am in my thirties, on the pill, and bleed every time i have sex and then for a few days afterward...it's a big turn-off (for me and my partner who's convinced this is a serious problem). i exercise, eat well and am in good health otherwise. any ideas? am really tired of the blood bath...

My friend had a problem with bleeding during sex. After lots of tests and going to the doctor all the time, it was from the Pill. I don't remember what specificly caused it.<P>When she's not on the Pill, she doesn't bleed. They haven't found any Pill that doesn't make her bleed, yet. <P>I hope whatever problem is causing it for you, you can get some help soon.<P>Take care.

Dear Aaeess:<P>Bleeding after sex is fairly common, and usually not serious. It can represent birth control pill problems, but also vaginal or cervical infections or other conditions. If it's gone on for this long, it's best to have a brief exam and any indicated tests. Hopefully the problem will be obvious and easily fixed.<P>Good luck.<P>------------------<BR>Supportive Guy

I TOO HAVE THE PROBLEM OF BLEEDING DURING AND/OR AFTER SEX, MY HUSBAND REALLY IS UPSET BY THIS AND THINKS HE IS DOING SOMETHING TO HURT ME. I AM NOT ON THE PILL AND HAVENT BEEN FOR 10 YEARS. I ALSO AM NOT A REAL FAN LIKE MOST WOMEN OF THE GYN. SO I DONT GO LIKE I SHOULD. 18 MONTHS AGO I DID GO AND HAD A FULL REALM OF TEST, I HAD AN INTERNAL SONOGRAM, MY FIRST MAMOGRAM AND THE REG. PAPSMEAR ETC. THE PAP CAME BACK WITH ABNORMAL CELLS AND WAS REDONE. THE SECOND ONE CAME BACK FINE. <P>MY QUESTION I GUESS IS NOW WHAT DO I DO? IS IT IMPERATIVE THAT I SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY?
