Another uncircumsized problem

I am 17 years old and am intact. I have 2 problems, and im not sure if either of them are serious or not. #1 is that my penis head is VERY sensitive when i pull the foreskin back. If anything besides water touches it, i feel a horrible sharp pain. I don't know if this is normal for people with foreskin or not, or if theres anything i can take to make it less sensitive. The other problem i have is I believe the stretchability of the foreskin. I can easilt pull the foreskin back before i get an erection, but when I do get an erection, its as if the foreskin started choking my penis head right where they meet, and I feel an EXTREME pain until i become flaccid again. If I try to pull the skin back while i alredy have an errection, it wont go past half of the penis head, and i feel a really bad pain if i try to pull it back even more because the skin squeezes the penis head. I am a virgin, and I'm not scared that my girlfriend will find out im uncircumsized, im just scared of the pain i'll feel when we decide to have sex.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I don't think there's a thing anyone here can do except suggest you see your doctor. It sounds to me like you need a little minor surgery. Neither symptom you're having is "normal".

This sounds horrible. =( What kind of doctor should I look for, and how would be the best way for me to bring this up to my parents?

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

Sounds like a too tight foreskin and you possibly need a dorsel slit. Do a google search on this for more info. It's a fairly minor procedure from what I've read. They cut a slit so the foreskin can open wider, it heals and you're good to go.

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

couldnt find too much information for it (dorsal slit). I might schedule a doctors visit sometime soon to see what can be done about it. hopefully they will also have something for the sensitive penis head problem.

I wouldn't consider it "horrible", but you need to get it fixed.

If it was me, I'd start with my family doctor. If he can't fix it he can recommend someone who can, and he could make an appointment with them for you.

As for your parents, there's nothing about it that should make you feel ashamed. Tell them as much or as little as you feel comfortable telling them before your initial doctor's visit. After you see your doctor you'll have the medical terms you can use that might make it easier to describe to them.

The sensitivity is probably directly related to the foreskin being too tight, but be sure to mention it to your doctor(s). My guess is that the sensitivity problem will gradually improve after the foreskin is fixed or removed.

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

I don't have a family doctor or anything of that kind, I turn 18 two months from now, and I dont remember having a medican checkup since i was 10. I will look into it, and see what I have to do about it. Hopefully it wont be something too drastic. I have also read in lots of places talking about sensitivity in the penis head. Most uncircumcized people have an oversensitive penis head because #1, the penis head is covered most of the time, and #2, they still have an untouched frenum (apparently the part with all the nerve endings at the bottom of the penis, usually removed when circumcised).

From what ive read, the one thing most people recommend is to try to keep the penis head uncovered in briefs, and try to get used to that, but it is so painful that i dont even want to risk it. not to mention that if i get a boner like this i might cry from the pain.

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

AS the mom of two teenage daughters, I try to be very open with personal questions. I welcome the chance to have frank dialog with them. Please share this with your parents. If you feel you can talk easier to just one of them, do that.

Also, we have found it seems easier having these talks while driving. Then you don't have the sometimes awkward eye to eye contact.

Good luck.

I would say that's complete baloney. Most uncircumcized people do not have an OVERsensitive penis. And why is that obvious? Because that's like saying that the normal male design is wrong in such a way that it would affect reproduction. After millions of years of successful reproduction and evolutionary adjustment, etc.? I don't think so.

And though I'm only one example of an uncircumcized male, the statement is also baloney in my case.

You might try pulling back the foreskin when you go to sleep at night. The normal erections you have at night might have the effect of stretching the foreskin over time. If this doesn't work, a simple operation is all that's needed.

If you google on "phimosis", you might find some useful things.

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

since my head is covered all the time, thats the reason it is so sensitive. Last night I had tried doing that, but i couldnt keep it like that for a long time cause it hurt... a lot.

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

I am uncut. As a boy I seldom pulled the forskin back so it was too small. When i reached adolescence I routinely pulled the foreskin back and left it that way and in a couple of weeks it had stretched enough that it was problem free. Erections would limit themselves automatically until the stretching was complete. I wonder how often that "phimosis' surgery is done unnecessarily... I wonder what would cause the skin to lose it's ability to adapt to the stretching and incease in size?

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

I have the problem of the very sensitive head. If anything touches it besides the foreskin and liquid its extremely painful. Im 16 and im worries about how this is going to change my sex life.

If I went to the doctor, can they do anything about this problem? like maybe some cream or something?

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

Both are common for uncircumsized penises. The tight foreskin can be remedied with some simple stretching exercises, and the sensitivity of the head can be fixed by airing it out for a while. There are also a few creams out there that temperarily numb the head of the penis (you can find them in drug stores, as well as a few sex novelty shops.)

You should still see your doctor if you think it's a major problem. Surgery (cutting off the foreskin) is an option, but absolutely not necessary. You should only get cut if you really think you want it. Other than that, there are plenty of non-surgical remedies.

Re: Another uncircumsized problem

The skin isnt too much of a problem anymore for me, I can pull it back now MUCH easier than I could before. As for the sensitivity on the penis head, I'm more than happy I have it. I never knew how great it was until I had sex... No pain, just pure pleasure

Thanks for all the help I have received in here.
