Delaying Period

I am going on vacation with my boyfriend in April, and turns out i'm expected to have my period the last 2 days i'm there. I was wondering if there is any way to possibly delay this, without birth control of any sort.
Thanks ahead of time

Re: Delaying Period

Changing s menstrual bleeding pattern can often be done for a woman using hormonal contraception- birth control pills, patches/rings, or injections. I'm not aware of methods to significantly delay a period if hormones are not being used.
One idea might be to begin a non-steroidal drug, like naprosyn or motrin, a day or two before the period is to begin; there is evidence this will lighten the flow and perhaps even delay it a little while.

Re: Delaying Period

You can't really delay a natural course of nature. Its like trying to stop a normal process, like breathing. Why don't you just wear a tampon?

Re: Delaying Period

I've used birth control pills to skip or delay a period. She should ask her doctor.

Dinesh, I don't think your advice is very helpful. A woman already knows to wear a tampon when she has a period. But it is both nice and possible NOT to have a period on vacation.
