Urethral Diverticulum

I have been diagnosed with Urethral Diverticulum. I am looking for information on surgically repairing/removing a Urethral Diverticulum near the sphinctor muscles of the bladder. Is there a chance of not causing damage and leakage? Can this type of surgery be successful?
