I have had chronic "uti infections" all my life...until the last year I never even heard of interstitial cystitis when I was diagnosed. I've been living with this pain and pain in the ass diet for a whole year and it seems the major contributor to the pain is when I have sex.

Mostly clitoral stimulation is the problem. I have no recollection of the last time I masterbated and have zero desire. My boyfriend knows cunilingus and manual stimulation is on ask only basis.

Is anyone else dealing with this? It has put a hamper on my sex life because many times I don't have the desire to have sex anymore because subconciously I know the pain it will cause. Sometimes when I orgasm I feel like I'm going to urinate...how mortifying.

I do all the other do's for IC and avoid the don'ts BUT has anyone found anything that actually works for IC and sex? I hate putting all these restrictions on my relationship. I'm afraid it will eventually cause my boyfriend to think I'm not sexy anymore. Plus, I'm at the age where I want to have a VERY active sex life.
