I just watched the show about breasts and sexual enhancement.Great Show!!! I was surprised that the plastic surgeon did not go over medical positives to having the implants put under the muscle instead of over (maybe because he prefers the other way). Especially when the next segment was about breast cancer.I work for a radiologist who specializes in mammography where we see several women a day with implants. It is SOO much easier to see a possible breast cancer when the implant is submuscular because it pushes a good deal of your tissue forward on the xray. If the implant is just below the skin or tissue you may block out important areas because the implant can only compress so far and not pop. I have noticed through the grapevine that this is something plastic surgeons don't often relay for one reason or another- so remember to ask!! What do you all think?<P>P.S. That breast cancer survivor's recontruction was amazing!!!!
