Re: what is l-arginine (spelling?)

It is supposed to enhance blood flow to the area making arousal and orgasms easier. I am not sure if anyone knows how it works. Maybe the Bermans could answer that question.

Re: what is l-arginine (spelling?)

Hi,
l-arginine is one of the ingredients in viacreme along with .05% menthol.
Viacreme is a topical cream applied directly to the clitoris. Specifically to the underside of the clitoris, where the mucus membrane is. The menthol gives a tingling sensation that sensitizes the clitoris and triggers natural lubrication production. The l-arginine is absorbed and increases blood flow and helps the clitoris maintain an erection.
It is basically jump starting your arousal cycle. The effect of the tingling lasts about 10min. The sensitization lasts up to an hour.

I started using it about a month ago for delayed orgasm. It has helped me quite a bit.
For more info check out my profile and go to my website.
KL

Viacreme Information can be found on my website.
klemons.com

Re: what is l-arginine (spelling?)

Arginine cannot be absorbed topically. It cannot be absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract without the assistance of an active uptake carrier protein. In the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels it is converted to nitric oxide by an enzyme called nitric oxide synthase. Nitric oxide causes an increase in cyclic guanylyl monophosphate (GMP) which alters calcium levels causing dilation of the vessels. Phosphodiesterase breaks down cyclic GMP thus ending the vasodilation. Viagra works by blocking phosphodiesterase thus allowing elvated levels of cyclic GMP to be maintained.
Manufacturers who put arginine in topical products point out that arginine is the precursor of nitric oxide which is essential in vasocongestion of the genitals. What they don't admit is the fact that arginine cannot be absobed topically. In other words, they are scamming the women who buy these products.
