I am 18/female. before orgasming i feel very numb and faint, esp. my feet and fingers. somtimes i feel heavy pressure on my chest, like someone is pressing down on my heart and lungs hard. sometimes it gets so heavy that i must stop. <BR>after orgasm, i feel very faint. my head is really light and dizzy and i lose my hearing for about 3 minutes, it is very muted.it's like i have water in my ears and then it slowly drains out, letting me hear again just fine.<BR> this happens almost everytime and during self-stimulation as well as with a partner. the longer it takes for me to reach orgasm, the more numb and deaf i will get. on the rare occasion that i orgasm quickly, i won't get deaf or numb at all.<BR>i'm really worried about this and the greater implication these symptoms might mean. <BR>can anyone tell me what's going on?

Wow - never heard that before! As someone who has never had an orgasm, I can only guess. This sounds very much like a blood pressure issue related to your body's orgasmic response. I do not think it is harmful, but if the pressure in your chest is that strong, I would ask the Dr. about it on my next visit.

Something similar happens to me sometimes. I find that I am holding my breath and contracting my stomach, as well as kinda pushing my lower back into the ground (like a sit-up that got stuck). I loose sensation in my fingers and toes, and sometimes feel as though I am going to pass out. And then I fianlly climax and it is like a damn broke. I want to just scream!! Then I want my H to go away so I can sleep!!! =) Just wanna roll over onto my side and totally pass out!<P>I have found that when I do these things, the climax is MUCH more intense.<P>Do you think you are doing them too? It sorta sounds similar.

It sounds like a possible blood pressure issue, actually. You may want to mention it to your doctor and have him/her take a look at your overall physical health. Does this happen when you do other strenuous, aerobic excersize that rapidly increases your breathing?

All of your symptoms are consistent with hyperventilation which is not unlikely during sexual activity. You may want to check with your doctor about your reactions. Sometimes women with Mitral Valve Prolapse are more prone to these symptoms

I have a thought that it seems like blood is being redirected to your uterine and vulvar area so you don't have enough to circulate. Maybe you do not have enough blood. Similar to an issue that I don't know if exists or not, men with very long penises can't get erections because they would pass out first due to lack of blood to other vital body parts. This could be your issue!

I have the same deafness after orgasm. I don't have the chest pain, but the hearing sounds the same, sometimes with a ringing in the ears too. I have normal blood pressure, but I do feel like it has to do with that.
