His and Her Health

I am 23 years old and very frustrated. I had a baby in Apr. of 99, breastfed for 6 weeks then went on birth control pills. I stopped taking them in June of 2000 and my period never returned. I also have never stopped lactating. The doctors did ultrasounds and it shows that my ovaries are normal but the follicles aren't being stimulated so I am not ovulating. They ran every blood test you can think of and they all came back normal including the prolactin levels. They did a mri of the brain just in case which was also normal. I took clomid for ovulation for awhile which didn't work. The doctors don't seem to want to run any more tests. I would love to have another baby but at the moment am much more concerned about my health. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.<P>Thanks<P>ps. Sorry about the long speech.

Have you gone to a reproductive gyn- they specialize in the kind of problems you have outlined. Also, if you have then, I would get a second opinion from another one. Caveat-ladies and gentlemen -do not go for your second opinions by going to another dr. within the same practice. I know that sounds like common sense, but had a friend do that recently and it is a recipe for disaster.

I have gone to two gyn and a fertility specialist. All of them seem to just want to give me fertility drugs instead of trying to figure out what the problem is.
