His and Her Health

I am a divorced 62 year old woman who hasn't had sex in many, many years. I've recently met a wonderful man and we would like to have an intimate relationship. I've talked to my doctor, but I would like to hear from some other older women about how they've handled vaginal dryness, insecurity, oral sex, etc., etc., etc. My mind is more than willing, but I'm afraid my older body will fail me.

Hi Lauriejean,Congratulations on finding a great guy. I am in my 70s and though I have continued to have sexual relations with my original husband lol , as I age I have had to compensate by first having my testosterone levels checked. Mine were low so Dr. put me on t-cream which I apply on my inner thighs and lower stomach. It seems to bring back some of the lubrication I was lacking. There are also many products out there you can get to help the dryness. I am long past menopause but I also recommend you go to the redhotmamas.org web site. It has helpful information about body changes and how to help with them .Insecurity? don't know what to tell you about that, but since you both are willing and mature you should be able to come to grips with it.
For goodness sake don't be worried about body image or anything like that, he has aged too right. Oral sex! I didn't want to have it done to me til I was in my 60s. Now I really enjoy it. Giving and recieving.
Have a good sense of humor, it helps in difficult situations, like having sex after a long lay-off( no pun intended).
