TOPIC: shaving genital hair

shaving genital hair

I want to hear opinions of the clean shaving of genital hair. Does it pose any health threats? (Hair usually grows in an area on purpose.) What is the best way to remove genital hair? I believe it is a personal choice for women to shave and it is a "turn on" for them as well as their partner. How do the men feel about women being cleaned shaven? I am recently divorced and it is a new world out there. In talking to the women in the office, this is now common practice?

Re: shaving genital hair

Ingrown hairs (from not shaving regularly) and an occasional nick from the blade are the only health risks I'm aware of. I'll bet you shave your legs and arm pits, and most guys shave their faces without health problems.

I like a clean-shaven woman, but it's got to be a "clean" shave. A 3-day-old beard is rough and not pleasant for anyone. If you're going to shave, plan on shaving as a daily routine. A clean shave is nice for oral play -- nice for the giver and, I'm told, nice for the receiver as well.

An alternative is a light trim with a scissors to keep it groomed. That's what my wife usually does, and I like that too. Clean shaven would be nicer, but it requires a lot of time to keep it that way.

The only way my wife removes it is when I shave her. I know some use chemicals or wax, but I don't know about those methods.
