Re: yeast infections
It would be helpful if you could describe the symptoms you are having, and how often you are getting the infections. One possibility is that you aren't every actually getting rid of the yeast infection--for some women it can take 2 courses of the normal medication. It may also be helpful to abstain from sexual activity while you do this to avoid re-infecting each other.
Also, consider that it may not be just sex that is giving you these symptoms...many things can cause yeast infections, and it may simply be that sexual contact opens the way for other agents: your laundry detergent, body wash, lotions, etc. Try switching to unscented, gentler brands. If you and your husband use lubricants or other liquid sexual aids, those can also cause yeast infections, especially the ones that are flavored (high sugar content encourages yeast infections in some women--try silicon based, non-flavored lubricants). Don't take baths, take showers. This will limit the amount of exposure your genital region has to things like soaps and bacterial-ladden water.
Yeast infections are, in some women, also caused or helped by diet. Certain food allergies or an excess of certain types of food can encourage yeast infections in some women. On the other hand, when I have a yeast infection, the pills and over-the-counter remedies don't work for me nearly as quickly as using a medicated douche for 4 days, eating 2 yogurts a day, and drinking lots of cranberry juice and water.
Lastly, of course, your symptoms could be something else. Definitely see your doctor, and he or she should be able to help you find the root cause.
