Has anyone heard of , or tried Avlimil? It's supposed to be the female version of Viagara? What are your experiences with it?
Thanks

Re: Avlimil?

I tried Avlimil for 30 days with no effects at all. I had better luck with L-Arginine for low libido. The info. with Avlimil does say that with some women the effects may be seen in 30-90 days. Since I experienced none at all, I didn't pursue it.

Re: Avlimil?

On another messageboard I frequent, some women have had success with it. It's an herbal product; it's not a pharmaceutical like Viagra. Not that that's a bad thing. From what I can tell, the main action is from herbs that influence hormone levels, and may take some weeks to have an effect. A woman benefitting from Avlimil after some weeks may benefit more from seeing a doctor and actual hormonal treatment.
On the other hand, some of the herbs in it are fast-acting, like ginger, damiana, valerian and capsicum, so a woman who took Avlimil and immediately felt an effect might also benefit from trying the individual herbs--they are available individually over the counter at drugstores much cheaper, and the woman could avoid taking the herbs she doesn't need. But be careful with valerian, in my opinion it is not a drug to be taken daily. Hopefully the amounts of valerian in Avlimil are so small that the effect is negligible.

[Note: This message has been edited by NEWSHE Moderator]

Re: Avlimil?

Nothing salacious. I said something rather vaguely negative about the company that makes Avlimil.
