Re: Avlimil?
On another messageboard I frequent, some women have had success with it. It's an herbal product; it's not a pharmaceutical like Viagra. Not that that's a bad thing. From what I can tell, the main action is from herbs that influence hormone levels, and may take some weeks to have an effect. A woman benefitting from Avlimil after some weeks may benefit more from seeing a doctor and actual hormonal treatment.
On the other hand, some of the herbs in it are fast-acting, like ginger, damiana, valerian and capsicum, so a woman who took Avlimil and immediately felt an effect might also benefit from trying the individual herbs--they are available individually over the counter at drugstores much cheaper, and the woman could avoid taking the herbs she doesn't need. But be careful with valerian, in my opinion it is not a drug to be taken daily. Hopefully the amounts of valerian in Avlimil are so small that the effect is negligible.

[Note: This message has been edited by NEWSHE Moderator]
