Re: UTI's

A UTI is just a urinary tract infection. It's an infection in YOUR body, and you cannot pass this on to a partner. It's not an STD or anything like that! It's NOT contagious! Left untreated, a UTI can develop into a bladder infection or even a kidney infection. A UTI is usually treated with antibiotics and can be prevented by drinking LOTS of water, urinating after intercourse, drinking some cranberry juice every day...
A UTI will NOT prevent you from becoming pregnant! Because in women, the urinary tract and the reproductive tract are totally separate, a UTI WILL NOT prevent pregnancy!!!
Any other responses out there???
Tracie

Re: UTI's

Thanks. I wasn't sure bcz I know you can pass a yeast infection, and so I thought infection and was like uh-oh. But I did ask the nurse at the local urgent care office and she said the same thing. So thanks a bunch too!
