no libido

Hi am new here maybe some of the posts here might answer my q.
prozac user to manage depression for lots of years now. Libido has gone, doctors look at me like not interested.Hubby is not high in his drive so i dont have much pressure on me or anything. It would be nice to feel ok again and healthy sexually.I love husband yes,we both work and dont do anything about it. I think it needs to improve to be normal. Re: no libido

Welcome to the board. There is a lot of helpful info here. It is also nice to realize that you aren't alone.
I noticed that you are in Australia. Anyone else here on the board from Australia? Know of good Drs there that can help her?

Re: no libido

Prozac has a high incidence of sexual side effects, including loss of libido. There is an article on this website that specifically deals with managing these side effects:
www.newshe.com/articles/SSRIsLBand.shtml
Hope this can help shed some light on things, and welcome to the board.

Re: no libido

Thanks Guys for your reply, and i'm happy to have found a useful message board, many thanks!!! I will have to have a good look around.
Not a lot of faith in doctors here, although i am sure some are good! the last time i mentioned low libido the doc put me on cypramil which i learnt was like a distant cousin to prozac, so i cannot take that risk. I will take some time to look over this site and hopefully get some help.
Thanks again Plonker

Re: no libido

There are some FSD providers in Austrailia.
I have a few names. I have no idea how good they are, but you might look them over.
Email me if you're interested.
Thanks,
Greg
------------------
Click here for my profile and more information. Also note, I am *not* a doctor, and this is not intended as medical advice - Please talk to your doctor about your concerns.
Please have your email address listed in your profile. Censorship here is rampant, thus I'd often rather email you.
