worldwide help for libido

I had a total hysterectomy a couple of years ago. Now have no libido and am tired of waiting for FDA approval for the patch or implants of testosterone. Currently use a 2% testosterone cream with limited success , plus the Climera patch for estrogen. Where in the world can I go, does anyone know of a clinic or a Doctor, have heard Europe but need more specifics.
[This message has been edited by blanblan (edited 06 August 2003).]

There are a number of treatment options, regardless of specific FDA approval of different drugs.
However, more information about you will help us help you. Re: worldwide help for libido

my question should have been phrased: where do I go to get testosterone in patch form or implants. I need a contact for a clinic or a doctor outside the US
quote:
Originally posted by distressed_12345:
There are a number of treatment options, regardless of specific FDA approval of different drugs.
However, more information about you will help us help you. Re: worldwide help for libido

I don't believe there is any T in patch form that is dose appropriate for women - regardless of country.
Implants, IMHO are not as ideal as topical gels in dose appropriate amounts using something like Androgel or Testim, or a compounded product. Titration (adjustment of levels specific for you) is possible with a topical cream. It's difficult or impossible to do this with implants.
Is there some reason for insisting on these methods of treatment?
Wouldn't it be easier, cheaper and a more reasonable approach, to find a good FSD provider here in US (I assume you are in the US.) to determine if you need T supplimentation and then have them recommend an appropriate form of treatment.
I believe the UK/EU is the most likely place to find providers using implants. I also believe there's a provider in the south-eastern part of the US that also does this - however the name escapes me.
If you will answer my questions to my satisfaction, I would be glad to see about digging up a name.
(But I can't post that name here. Discussing providers is not allowed in the TOS. I will have to email it to you, or get it to you via some other method.)
Best wishes,
Greg
------------------
[Also note, I am *not* a doctor, and this is not intended as medical advice - Please talk to your doctor about your concerns.
[This message has been edited by distressed_12345 (edited 06 August 2003).]

[Note: This message has been edited by NEWSHE Moderator]
