Re: Anal Sex
So long as it's done safely, anal sex can be a pleasurable alternative for both partners if they both enjoy it. It does increase the rate of vaginal infection, but there are ways to minimize or eliminate that risk (no anal-to-vaginal intercourse, keep hands away from vagina after anal play, etc.). It also increases the chance of catching AIDS, due to small tears in the lining and at the anus. A condom can help with that, as can having both partners tested for the disease. There are some doctors who believe anal sex can encourage prostititis in men, but I've seen conflicting reports on that. Again, a condom would help.<P>You should, however, make sure you're not doing seriously rough anal sex, as this can cause more tearing of the lining and encourage infection. ALso, make sure you are doing the anal equivilant of kegels to retain your muscle tone.
