I'm a strong believer in resistance training. Weights are used to build up muscles on other parts of the body, why not PC muscles too? Studies have shown using weights is more effective in toning PC muscles than Kegels alone (the studies were for urinary incontinence, but a muscle's a muscle). I personally recommend vaginal cone weights. They look like tampons. A set comes with five of them, all the same size, but increasingly heavy. They are used by inserting just like a tampon, and then you walk around the house for twenty minutes using your PC muscles to keep it from coming out. Do this twice a week, slowly building up to the heaviest weight. The most popular brand is FemTone, but I've noticed others on the Internet too, which I assume would work as well.<P>Once you have achieved this tone, you can go farther with a stone egg (exactly like the kind you find in gift shops) and/or a Kegelcisor.<P>Oh, and the benefits: you of course get the ability to voluntarily tighten things up down there during sex. It improves the strength of all kinds of orgasm because like building any muscle, it increases bloodflow to the area. And it may give you the ability to have vaginal orgasms if you don't already have them, and if you do have them it should make them faster, easier and much, much stronger.<p>[This message has been edited by zaneblue (edited 03 December 2003).]
