TOPIC: Breast Tenderness...OUCH!

Breast Tenderness...OUCH!

I will be 47 in Sept. I've noticed that when my husband and I have sex and he squeezes my breast too hard (which doesn't take a whole lot)I just want to yell, "Hey baby, those things are attached!" They are only sore when he does that, not any other time and no lumps etc. I started menepause a few years ago. I'm currently taking an over the counter herbal suppliment with soy and black cohash which helps with hot flashes like you wouldn't believe! However it does nothing for the occasional bouts of insomnia. No mood swings yet. Is the breast tenderness supposed to go along with menepause. To be blunt...it feels like however it would feel to a man if someone squeezed their scrotum too hard...IT HURTS! Someone please email me at ** and tell me about this. Actually I would be worried if they were tender all the time or there was a lump of some kind but it isn't in the least. Just when hubby squeezes too hard. I feel like taking him and squeezing and say, "There, that's how it feels to me" lol! I just really think he doesn't realize how much pressure he is using. Tried to talk to him about it but lets see....where can I find the nearest wall to bang my head against

Thanks so much in advance,
Mrs. "ouch" in KY

Re: Breast Tenderness...OUCH!

Some women report their breasts feel more sensitive at menopause. Breast tenderness may be caused by certain foods that can stimulate the breasts. For instance, foods containing caffeine (coffee, tea, soda's, and even chocolate). So it would make sense to watch your consumption of these caffeine drinks if you have breast discomfort. You may want to discuss with your healthcare provider the value of taking vitamin B6, and Vitamin E, and the role that testosterone therapy may play in reducing breast tenderness.

Re: Breast Tenderness...OUCH!

Jen,

While there is no cure for the grab-happy men in our lives, I've found that when my breasts swell and get really sensitive I can put an over the counter progesterone cream on them each night for 2-3 nights, and it relieves the swelling and pain.
If you find a way to stop him from squeezing too hard, I want to knoow how!!! Hope this helps!

Hello Jennifer - If you are still reading posts regarding this one.......I am new to the boards. Karen Giblin replied to my post with some helpful suggestions also. I was wondering if you have found anything helpful over the past year to help you out? I have the same problem you do. I will put my email in my profile.

Sincerely,

Debbie
