6 years, 1 month ago #31759

Eye Health and Menopause

In observance of "Save Your Vision Month", the Red Hot Mamas are interested in learning more about your eye care and eye concerns during the menopausal years. We know that many of you experience symptoms like dry, burning eyes and blurred vision. Our hope is to get more information from you about your visual symptoms and what you do to alleviate them. Our survey takes under two minutes to complete. Please help us by following the link:

Re: Eye Health and Menopause

Many women experience changes to their eyes during menopause. What sort of things are happening to your eyes?

Re: Eye Health and Menopause

I haven't had any changes with my eyes at all. In my circle of menopausal friends, none of us has had this problem.

Re: Eye Health and Menopause

Look for the results of our eye health survey coming up soon. I think you'll be surprised to see how many menopausal women suffer from eye problems. Many women do not even realize that menopause even has anything to do with their eyes. Their gynecologists are leaving it up to the opthamologists to inquire about eye health.

Re: Eye Health and Menopause

Hi all,

I'd been wearing contacts since age 13! with no problems until recently. I have GPC - conjunctivitis and dry eyes year round. I'd switched to a new contact and had no problems until a few weeks ago. Then I'd see colored rings around lights and the lens would be VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! I tried a sample pair of another lens but the same thing happened. My optician told me to take 6 months off.

we'll see!
