TOPIC: UGLY CRYIING

UGLY CRYIING

I have been on bio-identical hormore replacement for about a year now. They had eliminated my excessive mentraul bleeding, and over sensitivity. However, the "ugly crying" has returned. I am curious how others have eliminated or at least controlled excessive crying.

Re: UGLY CRYIING

This "ugly crying" is interferring with my ability to perform well at work. The very time I need to have a tight upper lip, mine is quivering. I have checked this message board all throughout the day today, hoping for some feed back on the subject. Whatever insight and/or information anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Promise.

Re: UGLY CRYIING

I've had this problem, too, but I've always been very liberal with the waterworks! I have to wear sunglasses to leave movie theaters! I know what you mean about crying at work, I do that too, and it is a problem sometimes.

The only thing I can suggest is to really try to determine why you're crying. Are you happy otherwise? Do you like your job? Don't sell yourself short, it may not be hormones. Sometimes there's a really good reason why you're on the verge of tears. Try to figure that out first.

If that's not the problem, then it may be depression. I recommend you try taking high dose, high quality, fish oil. It has really helped me, my depression has vanished and crying for no good reason has stopped. Fish oil raises dopamine in the brain naturally, which elevates mood. Trust me, it's made a huge difference. You can read tons of stuff here about fish oil, lots of us swear by it. I've had breast cancer and don't think women should take HRT unless they've carefully evaluated the risks.

Don't worry, you're not alone. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: UGLY CRYIING

Thanks. I will purchase the fish oil tomorrow. What is a "really high dosage?" I was unable to work without the HRT. In fact, I thought I was dying -- confusion, fuzzy head, fatigue, depression, etc. Except for the crying, all that has been slowly turning around. Once everything stablizes, I will seriously consider the HRT risks. Right now, the benefits outweigh the risks. Unfortunately. But, I truly appreciate the concern and insight. Thanks, again!!

Re: UGLY CRYIING

I started on a very high dosage of fish oil and primrose oil (i.e. about 6x the daily serving size on the bottle). I also started eating protein from eggs, beef, chicken or fish every 4 hours throughout the day. The crying stopped in 1/2 day. (I was expecting a 2 week turn-around period.) In fact, yesterday (only 1 1/2 days on the oil/protein) I went through something that would have normally made me cry, and I could not even muster up a wimper. Yeah, I focused on it and actually tried to make it happen. And, it did not!! I felt victorious!! The recommendation to add the primrose oil and protein came from the vitamin store that I have frequented over several years. I was also instructed to exercise and/or engage in an activity that makes the indorphines (sp?) flow. The word she used was "ephoria" (sp?). I am going to begin the exercise today. You know, I knew about the oil and exercise before but had forgotten. I had learned about it, and then it slipped from my "things I must do" list. I really hit bottom this time. Work for me means survival, so to not be able to work because of crying was extremely frightening. I have re-learned a critical lesson, in an unforgetable way, the importance of oil/ protein/ exercise. Thank you again!!
