Menopause in Newsweek

Menopause continues to be a really big topic. The January 15th Newsweek magazine just had a huge section devoted to menopause. It included some really useful information. Nothing too "newsy", just some great tips for those of us going through the "big" change.

The spread featured several articles from various doctors and professors from Harvard Medical School. They stress the importance of educating yourself about the transition into menopause and midlife... exactly what the Red Hot Mamas are trying to do and exactly what these bulletin boards are trying to do. So, kudos to all of you who utilize our very important website and boards. It does make a difference to your health!

Some excerpts from Newsweek:
"Research indicates that women who know what to expect navigate their way through midlife the most successfully"

"Women who make smart choices in menopause are more likely to live longer, healthier lives"

"You have to familiarize yourself with the issues so that you can be an active partner with your clinician in deciding what's best for you"
